great silhouette & photograph .. if you bump the aperture way up you could get a sharper sun flare / star :] other variant photog is also great .. nice blog you have!

The sun nearer the hands may have looked better, and now that I look back at the photo I tend to agree with you. Maybe next time I am there I will try and catch it.

I know what you mean about landscape vs portrait for this shot, but the framing was limited by the vast amounts of people there (was memorial day weekend) so I had to work with what I had.

Very nice picture! I am not just sure that the sun was in the optimal position. Then again, I dont know where I would have put it… The obvious place would have been the hand, but then we would not be able to see it…

Also, I dont know how the area surrounding the picture is, but a landscape framing would have yielded a sense of movement.

Still, great shot, nice color and subject!
